Tee Time for Tots: Halloween Edition

From fairies and princesses to superheroes and Harry Potter characters, dozens of families dressed in their Halloween best gathered at the green on October 27th 2018 to raise money for Sarasota’s littlest learners. On a perfect fall day, supporters of the Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County picked up a putter for our 3rd annual Tee Time for Tots: Halloween Edition fundraiser held at Evie’s Mini Golf in Sarasota.

All event proceeds go toward our services for families and children including support  for early literacy and helping children have access to enriching early educational programs so they will be ready for school.

In addition to trick or treating at every hole, our fang-tastic event featured face painting, a caricature artist, Halloween-themed arts and crafts tables and a costume contest for all ages with prizes. Every child also received a free book.

Our spook-tacular raffle choices ranked high on everybody’s scorecard. Items up for grabs included tickets to a Tampa Bay Rays game, a Baltimore Orioles spring training game, Busch Gardens, Sarasota Orchestra, and CineBistro; memberships to STEMania and Glazer Children’s Museum; passes to Skyzone and TreeUmph. Another lucky winner scored a hole-in-one, walking away with enough meat to last the winter: 24 pounds of fresh cut beef, chicken and pork from Southern Steer Butcher.

We would like to thank our event sponsor, Synovus, and our supporting sponsors: Rice’s Appliance and Outdoor Power, Dr. Mac Pediatric Dentist, PropLogix, CareerSource Suncoast, Children First, Evie’s Mini Golf and Milestone Marketing. We’d also like to thank our helpful volunteers from Siesta Key Kiwanis Club, Kiwanis Club of Sarasota, Riverview High School, Cardinal Mooney High School and Blazers 4-H Club of Sarasota. And a big shout-out to local professional photographer, Daniel Kelly, who truly captured the beauty of the day and the faces of those who came out to fund the future of Sarasota County children.
